Description

This tender cornbread will be a hit in your home. It's perfectly sweet and savory and will go great with all your favorite dinners. 

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Milk or Buttermillk ((Can use milk substitute.))
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Oil or Melted Butter

    Whisk together wet ingredients first. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix to combine. Allow the batter to stand 5 minutes before adding it to the cooking pan. You can cook this in a preheated greased cast iron pan or in a 9x9 glass dish.

    Cook at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Test with a toothpick in the center for doneness.
