Description

Crispy outside and custardy inside, french toast is an easy way to dress up that stale loaf and turn it into something yummy!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Step One

Mix up all the custard ingredients using a whisk or blender. Pour into a shallow dish so that you can easily dredge the bread slices.

  2. Step Two

Soak the bread slices in the custard. Allow them to sit in the mixture at least 30 seconds per side.

  3. Step Three

Melt 2 tablespoons butter or ghee in a skillet or griddle heated to medium. Cook the soaked bread slices for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the cooked french toast to a cooling rack. Serve warm with butter and warm maple syrup.

    • French toast also makes a great breakfast meal prep. Follow all the same steps but cool the french toast slices completely before storing in an air tight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
    • Reheat prepped French Toast by heating in the microwave, air fryer, or skillet.
