Description

Make this quick and tasty fruit sauce any time of year -- I love it served over french toast, pound cake, or ice cream.

  1. Step One

    Cook all the ingredients together on medium-low heat until bubbling. Cook on a gentle boil until the strawberries are soft and easily break apart with a spoon (about 10 minutes). 

  2. Step Two

    When the fruit is soft, remove from the heat. Using a blender or an immersion blender, puree the mixture until smooth. 

  3. Step Three

    Pass the mixture through a fine sieve to remove all the seeds. Cool before serving. 

    Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
